Books released in Sonowal Kachari conference

DIBRUGARH, Feb 7: Several books were released on the second day of the district general conference of Sonowal Kachari organizations at District Library here today. In the meeting chaired by principal of Tengakhat Higher Secondary School Mohan Sonowal, Dr Jitu Ranjan Barua of Dibrugarh University released the mouthpiece of the district unit of Sonowal Kachari Students’ Union Kirat Grantha.
On the other hand, the souvenir brought out to mark the occasion, Akhirbaad, was released by Dr Ratan Kumar Kataky of Assam Medical College. The compilation of Gunaram Dhekial Memorial Lecture and Rodali Ae Rod De, a collection of the poems of Robin Saikia, were released by lecturer of Manohari Devi Kanoi Girls’ College, Dr Lohit Saikia.
The results of the talent search competition held in two categories were announced today. Gyanashri Gogoi, Pranjana Saikia, Karabi Das and Arpit Sonowal were adjudged the first, second, third and fourth prize winners in the first section, while Rituparna Gogoi was first, Tribhuvan Pradhan second and Nayanmoni Dehingia third in the second section. A colorful procession would be taken out tomorrow.
