KOKRAJHAR, Feb 18: The Bodoland Peoples’ Progressive Front (BPPF) today strongly condemned the attempt to abduct its two workers by BPF youths at Kachugaon market on Sunday last and urged upon the district administration to maintain law and order strictly and arrest the culprits.
In a press release, secretary of Kachugaon Anchalik BPPF Dhananjay Narzary said that a group of BPF youths coming in a Maruti van AS-16A/2973 tried to abduct two BPPF workers- Karen Basumatary and Birdao Basumatary of Daimuguri, while they were having tea in a restaurant near the PWD office. The saved themselves from the menace by run out. An FIR was lodged at Kachugaon PS by BPPF in this connection.
