OIL to play Assam Rifles today

GUWAHATI, Feb 22 – In the first semifinal of the 2nd Airtel Assam State Premier League Football Championship, Oil India Limited Football Club will lock horns with Assam Rifles at the Judges’ Field here under light. The match will kick off at 5.30 pm.

OIL was the champion team in cluster B played at Sivasagar, while the Riflemen came second in cluster A which was held at Tezpur.

At Tezpur, Assam State Electricity Board (ASEB) Sports Club emerged champions and will meet Assam Police Blues, runners-up of Sivasagar cluster on February 24 in the second semifinal.

9th APBn were relegated as they were placed at the bottom among 8 teams. Gauhati Town Club, Green Valley Sports Club and PHE, Silchar were the other teams in the meet. The final is on February 26.
