Assam Rifles inaugurates suspension bridge

Imphal, February 05 2010: Commandant 22 Assam Rifles has inaugurated a suspension bridge at Kaibi village in Senapati district on February 4, said a PRO IGAR (S) release adding that the bridge was constructed under Ops Samaritan by the 22 AR of 10 sector under HQs IGAR (S) .
Speaking at the bridge inauguration programme, the Commandant assured the locals all possible help towards their socio-economic development which evoked high appreciation from the locals, it added.On the otherhand, the 175th raising day of the Assam Rifles were celebrated at Mombi village of Chandel district as well as at the HQs IGAR (S) yesterday.As a part of the celebration, 6 AR organised a medical camp at Mombi village wherein medical officer and para-medical staff of the AR unit diagnosed more than 115 patients and provided them free medicines while at Mantripukhri HQs of the IGAR (S) the occasion was marked by a pipe band display of 39 AR.
