Countrymen perform Boka Bhaona

JORHAT, Sept 12: Today, the right day of ‘Nandutsav’ next to the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna. The people of various parts of the State observed this day as ‘Nandutsav’ so that the Hindu followers think that on this very day the countrymen of Gokul had celebrated this day due to the birth of Krishna as the son of Nanda Raja, the king of them.

This is a tradition, in fact continuing through centuries among the Hindu followers of the country. They have been celebrating this auspicious occasion as ‘Nandustav’ in high spirits since very long. The ‘Boka Bhaona’ is also a part of this celebration, which is very popular among the village people even today. At the same time, the celebration of this special show is very exceptional too.
