GUWAHATI, April 21 – The Guwahati Traders’ Association (GTA) has decided to temporarily postpone its agitational programme following an assurance from the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) that it would scrap its decision of hiking the existing trade licence fee.
The trade licence fee was hiked by three times by the GMC recently, a decision which drew flak from different sections of the society, besides the traders.
