Aid for sportspersons in Sikkim
Gangtok, May 9: The Department of Sports and Youth Affairs of the State aided 121 sportspersons in Sikkim with cash incentives of Rs 32.94 lakh at Palzor Stadium indoor gymnasium. The cheques were handed over by Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs NK Pradhan with regard to various spheres of sports. The number of recipients was 10 in Archery, five in athletics, 36 in Boxing, 32 in Football, 31 in Taekwondo, three in Volleyball and three in Table Tennis. (UNI)
